Dan Jones holds a B.A. in business economics from Utica College. He joined The Zoller Group as a Financial Representative in 1998 and currently is a College Unit Director. The freedom and flexibility of being his own boss is what Dan Jones likes most about his job, although he also values meeting and working with outstanding people: It was the caliber of the people at The Zoller Group that convinced him to embark on this career. He also believes that Northwestern Mutual offers the best products, innovative ideas and an outstanding culture. Dan Jones is married to Anne Marie, and the couple has a daughter, Lauren. When not helping his father with the family farm, Dan enjoys snowmobiling, and he is an avid baseball fan. He also is involved in the Utica College National Alumni Council and the Mt. Markham Foundation.

Bill has 10 years of professional experience in insurance and employee benefits. Employee benefits are an important part of the employee’s compensation, but they are also vital to the company’s bottom-line: the rising cost of employee benefits over the years has made it more difficult for employers to provide the benefit packages necessary to attract new employees, and to satisfy current employees. Bill’s practice focuses on analyzing, determining expectations, designing and servicing customized benefit plans, and educating employees on the benefits available to them. Bill also works with corporate human resource departments to provide expert advice on employee benefits.

Bill is married to Erin. They have two sons, William and Rowan, and they reside in New Hartford, NY. When not working, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing hockey and golf.

Bill Matteson holds a B.S. degree in pre-law and political science from Hartwick College. He joined The Zoller Group in 2000, and the career aspects he values most are building relationships with clients, being his own boss and having unlimited growth potential. Bill Matteson’s belief in Northwestern Mutual stems from its reputation as an industry leader and the organization’s ability to maintain a personable, small-company culture despite its size.

Bill Matteson is married to Kristen and they have a son, Dillon. In his spare time Bill enjoys outdoor activities that include skiing, camping, hiking, fishing and golf. His favorite quote can be attributed to Managing Director Jeff Zoller: “The qualities I look for in my clients and in myself are honesty, ethical behavior and strong work habits.” Bill Matteson also suggests, “Don’t take things personally.” His favorite book is The Millionaire Next Door by Nick Murray.
